Certain content interactions will require you to access other files within your course directory, whether they be other pages within the course itself (in the form of HTML or TXT documents) or imported Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs and other items. For these, the File Browser window will be used.

The following items make use of this window:
The list on the left names all of the major documents within a course’s directory, and clicking on any item will preview (if possible) the document’s contents within the large area on the right. For documents that cannot be previewed, the preview area will instead show the filename, file size, last date modified and a reference link (see References Editor below for where to use this).
To upload a file to the course directory, simply click and drag the file into the File Browser window.
The Browser will then refresh and add the file to the left hand list.
To rename a file, click once on a file in the list to select it and then click the ‘Rename’ button at the bottom of the window.
A popup message will appear, allowing you to type in a new name for the image.
Simply type in the name and click ‘OK’ and the file will be renamed. There is no need to add the file extension, it will be handled automatically.
(This option does not work at this time. If you want to rename the filenames of pages within the course, use the Page tab mentioned previously.)
To delete a file, click once on a file in the list to select it and then click the ‘Delete’ button at the bottom of the window.
You will be given a popup message to confirm the deletion before it is carried out, giving you a chance to back out if needed.
